True Blue Gives Back Project
I’m extremely excited to announce our first “Reach One” Community Project. This summer when I found some free time outside of work, I trained kids in exchange for donations. That total came to $1,140.
I realized that maybe I am helping these kids but what else can I do? TBW’s very first give back project is going to Africa to build two basketball hoops and a court. Thanks to Kijani Farm and Global Outreach this is going to be possible. We will leave in February of 2020 and will be there for two weeks. While we are there, besides building a court we will also be helping in any other way we can along with playing futbol and other games with the kids. For me, basketball was more than just a game, I found a family, a community within it. It may sound crazy to some but I hope to bring more than just a game to Africa, I hope to bring a strength in community with True Blue, and maybe some joy to kids who have a passion to play.
That first $1140 has gone to starting up this give back project, and we’re still looking to fundraise to see how much we can build/and help out the community before we leave in February. Closer to home, I have ideas for the MKE and surrounding areas as well a goal of finding a permanent Gym/Home for TBW. Right now this is our journey, and I am not here to beg for your money, but if you feel a passion to help and like what we are doing here at TBW please feel free to donate to us. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THIS PROJECT, I will show you everything that is used with the donations, just check in on the website.
